Length 22.6 km

Duration 5h 20

Medium difficulty

This trekking route starts from the enchanting village of Buonconvento. After visiting the enchanting medieval village between the Val d’Orcia and the Crete Senesi we take the via Cassia, the SR 2 and then head along the provincial road of Brunello towards Montalcino. The road is uphill so we recommend an average level of training but we can assure you that the way to Montalcino, among the Brunello rows is really worth it! We continue our walk immersed in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub towards Montalcino, a real treasure to be discovered! After visiting this beautiful village you can always return by bus.
