Our secret?

Before being master pasta makers and millers, we are farmers, and this is exactly what makes the difference! We take care of the entire production cycle of cereals, from the fields to the table. In fact, we cultivate the ancient grains that are ground in the stone mill right next to our restaurant. La Locanda del Mulino is the very short chain restaurant of the Mulino Val d’Orcia, our farm that extends for more than 100 hectares in the municipality of Pienza. The dishes on our menu are all made with organic flours produced from ancient stone-ground grains of our own. Absolutely to try our pici!

Before starting to eat in our inn you should know that the dishes on our menu are all made with organic flours of ancient stone-ground grains of our production. Artisan pasta is produced with semolina and flour always obtained inside the mill with an artisan pasta factory. If you decide to be our guest, we recommend that you visit the mill and observe with your own eyes how the products you will taste are born.
