In 1967 in Pienza, a splendid town located in Val d’Orcia, Marino and Ilva opened their first butcher’s shop, bringing their knowledge and knowledge of animals from the countryside. But one of the strong points of the butcher’s shop is not only the experience, but also the taste of simple and genuine things, the same taste of the time.
It is in this splendid area that the Franci family selects the best beef cattle for their butchery: here nothing is by chance, from the selection of the animals to the processing of the meat. Here in the Macelleria del Corso you will find ham with pepper, capocollo and lombo flavored with the real Val d’Orcia fennel flower wrapped in traditional yellow paper. And again the rigatino, the bacon, the seasoned sausage, the lard with the aromas of the valley, making you rediscover the flavors of the past.
