The Horti Leonini are a public garden located in San Quirico d’Orcia (province of Siena). A well-preserved example of a classic 16th century Italian garden, the Horti have kept their original structure to this day. Perhaps the most precious treasure of the medieval village, these gardens are divided into a lower part, the actual garden and an upper one, characterized by a grassy square in the center of a small holm oak wood. The entrance to this enchanting place is located within the ancient walls of the town. In the center stands the statue of Cosimo III dei Medici, sculpted by Bartolomeo Mazzuoli (1688).
